This year marks the 15th anniversary of Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios Florida, where larger-than-life balloons from the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City fill the streets every afternoon.
New to this year’s parade is the “Virginia” of “Yes, Virginia there is a Santa” balloon, which will join the popular “Macy’s Star” and “Big Man Santa” balloons.
At Universal’s Islands of Adventure it’s all about the mean, green one himself as Grinchmas comes to life throughout Seuss Landing. Don’t miss the heartwarming live show, “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” featuring The Grinch, Max and the Whos from Who-ville. Kids of all ages will love this one!
Even the animals get in on the Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld. A Winter Wonderland ice skating show, a special, nighttime Shamu show, live theatrical performances, and fireworks are included in the month-long celebration. (photo requested)
As part of Epcot’s Holidays Around the World at Walt Disney World Resort, Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the traditional Christmas story told by celebrity narrators. The three-times-nightly event, beginning Nov. 29, includes a mass choir and a 50-piece orchestra at Epcot’s America Gardens Theater. Performance is included in regular Epcot admission.
Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park plays host to a holiday party like no other with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Enjoy live entertainment, spectacular fireworks and a jolly holiday parade with Mickey, Santa, and other familiar Disney friends. So says it doesn’t snow in Orlando!
Looking for something a little less hectic? Light Up UCF has become one of Orlando’s most anticipated holiday attractions for many reasons: it’s affordable it includes ice skating, rides, and an all-new light show. Light Up UCF opens Friday, November 18 and runs through Saturday, January 7.
